MITS is hosting their second online seminar on 22 March from 10.00 - 14.00 CET. The seminar will tackle a pressing and fundamental topic: the rights and risks of signed language translation and Interpretation in the context of the EU legal framework.
A call for papers for the conference “ELF Communication Today: Acceptability and Accessibility in Focus” that will be held on 4 and 5 December 2024 at the University of Salerno, Italy.

The MITS Public Online Seminar, taking place on October 5th from 9:45 AM to 13:00 PM, will focus on deaf persons in conflict zones and humanitarian crises, with particular emphasis on the role of sign language interpreters in these contexts.
Two expert speakers, Peninnah Vulimu and Herbert Klein, will present their fieldwork experiences.
The Francqui-Sign Language Studies Summer School aims to create a dynamic learning environment for PhD students, post-docs, and early career researchers from various fields of Sign Language Studies with a focus on interpreting and translation. It is also open to MA graduates contemplating undertaking a PhD or wanting to know more about what a PhD entails.
This special training is for signers to learn more about International Sign (IS). During the two days you are introduced to the basics of International Sign, some theory as well as practice. The training is for those signers who already know a national sign language, but want to practice and learn more about IS.

The International Postgraduate Conference in Translation and Interpreting (IPCITI) takes place at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh on 23 and 24 November 2023. The theme for IPCITI 2023 is Lines of Enquiry, and the conference will have a focus on methodological innovation in translation and interpreting studies.
The Association of Greek Sign Language Interpreters (AGSLI - SDENG) is hosting the 2023 AGM and Conference of the European Forum of Sign Language Interpreters (efsli) in Thessaloniki, Greece. The event will take place from the 15th to 17th September 2023 under the title: Rights. Right?
The first EUTOPIA Multilingualism and Diversity Student Conference, exploring the themes of ‘Society and Diversity’, as well as ‘Multilingualism in Education, Health and the Media’ will be held online on Wednesday, July 13th, 2022.
