The 9th DbI European conference on Deafblindness will take place in Aalborg, Denmark. The title of the conference is Touch of Closeness - maintaining social connectedness. The central theme of the conference is social connectedness. Social connectedness is about how people come together and interact.  

The conference will include plenary sessions, research symposium, workshops, posters and network meetings. The Scientific Committee has developped a programme that will emphasize interactivity. This will give an opportunity for the participants to discuss the presenters' ideas, to ask questions and to share knowledge and experiences during the workshops and poster sessions. In addition the conference will give an opportunity for network meetings. Furthermore we will provide current knowledge and different views on topics reflecting the theme of the conference. The conference program will feature a mixture of scientific research, personal perspectives and real-life experiences.
