The 2017 Symposium 'Interpretation and Translation Research' will be preceded by the inaugural Signed Language Translation Global Summit.

The aim of the Summit is to create a space in which Deaf scholars and professionals can explore the historical roots and discuss the current trends in translation by Deaf people across the globe. The Summit offers an intimate and informal venue for Deaf participants to discuss, develop, and share international perspectives and the activity of translation within the Deaf community.
